Pacific University was originally a orphanage & school set up by Tabitha Brown for the orphans of the Applegate Trail party that relocated from Massachusetts to Oregon. We are looking at a fine paperweight from the history of Eglomise Designs, and some of these pieces are more than 50 years old.
