Our historic rendering of Boston From the Charles is one of our most popular.  Prominently featured in the view of the Charles River are the two John Hancock Towers.  The larger of the two, colloquially known as “The Hancock” is a 60-story skyscraper on Clarendon Street.  Completed in 1976 by the firm of I.M. Pei & Partners, it is the tallest building in Boston.  It’s observation deck has been closed since September 11, 2001.

The smaller “old John Hancock Tower” is now called the Berkeley Building.  It’s flashing beacon is a treasured landmark forecasting weather since 1950:

Steady blue, clear view
Flashing blue, clouds due
Steady red, rain ahead
Flashing red, snow instead
(except in summer, when it means the Red Sox game is
cancelled due to weather)

Reminiscent of the French églomisé style, our Traditional scenes offer a most distinctive and professional gift of luxury.  Well suited for display in either home or office, they are a source of pride for both sender and receiver.  The paperweight, most glass products and “mini” products feature blue trim.  Mirrors and pictures are ready to hang.  Boxes include quality brass fittings.  Proudly made in America.
