Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons ~ Antique

Established in 1767, P&S founded as the medical department of King’s College (now Columbia University).  It was the first medical school in the original 13 colonies to award an M.D. degree.  Founded by Samuel Bard, King’s College closed in 1776 due to the onset of the American Revolution, and reopened in 1784 as Columbia University.

Our historic rendering features the Original Entrance to the College.

Reminiscent of a fine old English engraving, our Antique scenes offer a most distinctive and professional gift of luxury.  Well suited for display in either home or office, they are a source of pride for both sender and receiver.  The paperweight is bordered in black and has a felt bottom.  Picture, mirror and wood box are all matted with an antique white mat featuring school color and gold trim.   Mirrors and pictures are ready to hang.  Boxes include quality brass fittings.  Proudly made in America.
