Established in 1701 as the Collegiate School, Yale is an Ivy League institution. Renamed Yale College in 1718 it is the 3rd oldest institution of higher education in the United States. It became co-educational in 1969. Boasting an enrollment over 12,000, the Bulldogs compete in NCAA Division I athletics.
Our historic rendering features the Old Campus buildings of Dwight Hall and Harkness Tower. Harkness Tower, completed in 1922 is a Collegiate Gothic structure named for Charles William Harkness. At 216’ it is the most recognized landmark at Yale.
