Alabama State Capitol
Built in 1851, the clock over the portico was a gift from the city of Montgomery in 1852. The building served as home to the Alabama State Legislature until 1985 when it moved to the Alabama State House. It continues to house the Governor of Alabama as well as numerous other offices.
