Arlington MA ~ Jefferson Cutter House
Arlington is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts,
The Cyrus Dallin Art Museum is located in the Jefferson Cutter House, a historic house on the National Register of Historic Places located in the center of Arlington, Massachusetts. The building is owned by the town, and also serves as the location of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and the Cutter Gallery, an organization that exhibits the work of local artists.[4]
Built in 1830 in a Greek Revival/Federal style in a saltbox shape, it originally was home to Jefferson Cutter, who was born in Arlington (then part of West Cambridge) in 1803.[4] The elaborately carved main entry door is likely the work of Cutter himself, who was a turner and millwright.[citation needed] The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
While the vast majority of Eglomise Art is made by Eglomise artists and copyrighted to Eglomise we sometimes collaborate with an organization who wishes to have art in our heirloom gifts to recognize someone special from their community. We are thrilled to offer such opportunities to select organizations.
