Johns Hopkins University ~ Antique
Established in 1876, JHU is a private research university boasting an enrollment over 20,000. Named for Johns Hopkins, an American entrepreneur, abolitionist and phiantropist, whose $7 million bequeath also established The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Our historic rendering features Gilman Hall which was built in 1914-16. The floors of Gilman Hall are built with asphalt since it is softer than concrete and administrators knew that students spend at least half the day standing and walking.
Reminiscent of a fine old English engraving, our Antique scenes offer a most distinctive and professional gift of luxury. Well suited for display in either home or office, they are a source of pride for both sender and receiver. The paperweight is bordered in black and has a felt bottom. Picture, mirror and wood box are all matted with an antique white mat featuring black and gold trim. Mirrors and pictures are ready to hang. Boxes include quality brass fittings. Proudly made in America.
